Stopped off for coffee. Staff was responsive, prompt and warm. Coffee was good. They did not have any organic sugar or non dairy milk so I had to drink the coffee black but the coffee was fresh enough and low acid enough that I was able to do so and still enjoy the coffee.

I loved my stay here at the Eagle Hotel. This was my first time in Alaska and I was booking this trip from Utah with only as much knowledge of Palmer and the surrounding areas as could be gleaned from Google maps. And that isn't much. I found the Eagle and was immediately drawn to its reasonable price and option to have a room with a balcony. From what I had seen online, there was a fabulous view from those rooms. So I booked room 306 and hoped for the best. I am so happy I made that choice. The only real issue I had here was the icy parking lot, but it's Alaska, so that's just part of the package. The lobby was clean and maintained, and while there wasn't a person standing by at the front desk, there was board up with a phone and a number to call for help. After placing a call it took only a moment or two for a woman to come out and greet me. She was very kind and we shared stories of our children and discussed my stay while she finalized things and had me install and app to use instead of a traditional key card. Unfortunately, the app never did work for me. But it did text me a passcode that I was able to use to gain access not problem. The room itself was very nice. You can tell when you walk in that the carpet is brand new, just like the bed, the sheets and even the bathroom appears to have had a major overhaul recently. It was a very nice room. Spacious and with a view that I couldn't stop staring at. I appreciated the soft carpet, the table and chairs in the corner, the ceiling fan, and the spaces tub. There was plenty of space through out the room to keep my suitcase and hang my clothes with storage to spare. Honestly, for what I paid and how late I booked my stay, I am truly surprised at how nice my accommodations were. I have trips to the Palmer Wasilla area coming up soon, and I hope to make the Eagle Hotel my go to destination for each of these.

Wow--large room!! cushy carpet (no shoes!) , giant TV and we slept great. Breakfast at the restaurant was really good, love supporting this family business. Made our first night in Alaska a good one. Stay here instead of Anchorage if you are on the way to Glacier View!

The meal was great. It's consistently satisfying. It was the new waitresses third day, so she made a few expected mistakes. But, overall was a enjoyable breakfast. I highly recommend the SUNRISE GRILL in the EAGLE HOTEL in Palmer, Alaska.

Very pleasantly surprised when I reached the hotel. I don’t know why, but I was expecting a rundown motel, but this place is out of this world! The lobby is large, spacious, clean. Receptionist was extremely efficient, friendly and pleasant. Modern features like OpenKey phone app for door unlocking. But the biggest surprise was the room itself. It is huge! And classy looking! Very clean and completely modern decor. Smart TV so I could watch my own stuff. Touch nightstand lamps. All amenities I needed, like microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker etc. Restroom was awesome too. Modern tiling, everything clean and great smelling. Great pressure in the shower! Add to that, the insanely amazing location. Surrounded by picturesque mountains. Heart of downtown Palmer. Next to restaurants. And a huge balcony on top floor (reserved for rooms with balcony view) for the unrestricted view. I really wish i had booked this for more than one night. Absolutely amazing place. Do not think twice and go for it.

Large room with a comfortable bed, microwave, fridge and coffee machine, nice. Everything was very clean. I found the hotel a bit eerie though somehow, also because there is no staff at all probably, there is a phone at the reception desk you use to call and then get your room's code by text.

We booked the room last minute as it is close to the hospital. The double queen room is very spacious, carpet is clean and thick. Room stays nice and warm. We stayed on the 3rd floor, with a sliding door to the outside and a beautiful view of the mountains. Prior to booking we read of the front desk not being manned. That has not been a problem for us. Someone always answers when we call the number and is very helpful. We ate breakfast at the restaurant on site. Breakfast was delicious and staff was very nice. I would recommend this hotel and would also return in the future.

HUGE, clean room! Manager/owner was super helpful and nice when checking us in. We were located on the third floor which required either taking an elevator to the 2nd floor & walking up a flight a stairs or taking two flights of stairs. …

this place is FANTASTIC!! the room was large with a kitchenette and CLEAN!!! it's so hard to find CLEAN hotel rooms these days - this place knocked it outta the park... doesn't matter there's no one at the desk - you pick up the phone, they answer, and they take care of you! And the attached restaurant/diner is GREAT. Bars and other restaurants are within walking distance too... If I ever make it back to Alaska, I'm staying here again!!

Stayed here for 2 nights & my room was big, spacious, warm to me anyway(I sleep better when its not so overly warm), bed was nice & clean, so was the bathroom. Restaurant was downstairs on main level. Had breakfast 2 mornings in a row, it …
